Holmestrand Sauna Association

Holmestrand sauna association was established in 2020 with the purpose of promoting good health through year-round swimming and sauna. We will create a sauna environment and activities that residents and visitors to Holmestrand can enjoy. We want to create the city's best experience.

Holmestrand sauna association is more than just steam – we have an inclusive community built on the values of the Norwegian Sauna Association. The association works to create safe, open and accessible meeting places where people can relax, meet and gain new energy.

Generosity and community are at the center. A sauna is a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of age, background or life situation. It provides opportunities for good conversations, peace and belonging with respect and equality. No one should feel left out – a sauna should be a safe space, both physically and socially.

We take responsibility for the nature around us and our activities are planned and operated with consideration for the environment and using long-lasting and most sustainable solutions. The goal is to create good experiences without leaving unnecessary traces in nature.

Holmestrand has a long tradition as a seaside resort, where proximity to the fjord and facilities for sea bathing have been an important part of the town's identity.

The Sauna Association builds on this heritage by creating modern meeting places for bathing, health and community. Through saunas and sea baths, a culture is continued where people gather around the water – for recreation, well-being and good experiences.
