Sauna rules

In the sauna you sit on a towel and have a towel under your feet.
All swimming is at your own risk. Do not swim alone or unseen.
Please note that there may be slippery floors in outdoor areas.
Only use fresh water on the stove. Ask before pouring water and using oils.
Be considerate. Remember that some people value the peace and quiet of the sauna.
If you feel uncomfortable, dizzy or sleepy – leave the sauna immediately.
Smoking is prohibited on the sauna raft. No food or snuff in the sauna.
Alcohol is prohibited in the communal sauna.
It is not permitted to give access to the changing room or sauna to anyone other than those who have booked and paid for a place in the sauna.
Anyone booking on behalf of others or a group is responsible for any violations of the rules.

FAQs

• What do you need to bring?

Feel free to bring two towels; one for bathing, and one to sit on in the sauna. Swimwear and preferably a metal drinking bottle (we have tap water).

• Is there access to a shower?

We have a fresh water shower at Alma with cold water outside (doesn't work when it's freezing), Eira has a hot shower inside.

• Is there a cloakroom?

There is a common changing room for changing and storing clothes, bags etc. in both saunas

• Are there lockable cupboards?

We don't have lockers so only bring what you need. The outer door locks automatically. Holmestrand sauna association does not take responsibility for personal belongings.

• How long in advance can I order?

We publish joint lessons 60 days in advance.

If the times do not appear in the calendar, it is fully booked. Certain activities have a waiting list.

• Can companies book a private sauna for their own employees?

Yes! Companies can either order online or contact us at post@holmestrandfjordbadstu.no

Can companies be sent an invoice? Yes. Separate terms apply. See Terms of Purchase.

• Can I change or cancel my booking?

You can change your time yourself up to 48 hours before your reservation for activities. You do this via the email that confirms the order.

• Refund

The norm is a refund for gift cards. See Terms of Purchase.

• Can we bring children?

We have no age limit, but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children participating must be able to swim. All bathing and sauna use are at your own risk.

• Do I have to be a member to use the sauna?

No, but as a member you get a reduced price for the communal sauna and activities.

• I am a member, how do I get the membership price?

You get the membership price by using the login method that your membership is registered with.

• Is alcohol allowed?

Alcohol is not permitted in the communal sauna. Safety is important, and intoxicated persons can be expelled by the board.

• All bathing and use of the sauna is at your own risk.
